Privacy and cookies
Updated September 9, 2026.
Maxime Jean operates maximejean.com and offers website, app and AI automation services across North America. For questions about your personal information, contact: max@maximejean.com.
When you prepare an email on the main page
The forms prepare a draft in your email app. Their contents stay in your browser until you choose to send or copy them. Clicking “Prepare my email” does not send your inquiry to Maxime. If you send an email, we use the information you provide to respond, prepare a proposal and follow up on your project.
Guided project inquiry
The /project and /fr/projet pages actually submit your inquiry when you click “Send my project to Maxime.” Your name, email, business, goals, budget, timeline and optional details are sent to FormSubmit for delivery to max@maximejean.com, with a copy in Maxime Jean’s administrative mailbox. We use these details only to respond and follow up on your project; there is no newsletter subscription. Before submission, your answers remain in this page’s memory and are not saved to local storage. They are lost if you close or reload the page.
FormSubmit states that it retains submissions in its archive for 30 days. Received emails are kept as needed for project follow-up. FormSubmit and our email services may process data outside Quebec. Confirmation means the delivery service accepted your inquiry; it does not mean Maxime has already read it. Abuse prevention may temporarily limit submissions. With your consent to the corresponding cookies, a confirmed submission produces an Analytics and Meta lead event without the contents of your answers. FormSubmit privacy.
Inquiries on Facebook and Instagram
If you submit an instant form in a MaximeJean.com Facebook or Instagram ad, Meta sends Maxime Jean the contact details and answers you confirm. We use them to review your project, respond and prepare a proposal. A phone number is optional. Submission does not subscribe you to a newsletter. Inquiries are available in Meta’s business tools and may be exported for project follow-up. Meta’s policy also applies to its own processing.
Retargeting ads
With your permission for advertising cookies, Google and Meta may include visits to this site in audiences used to show you MaximeJean.com ads later. On Facebook and Instagram, Meta may also create audiences from interactions with our content or forms, subject to your settings on those platforms. We may exclude people who have already submitted an inquiry from prospecting ads. Our website measurement events do not send your name, email, phone number or project text.
Running the website
Hosting and delivering the site requires technical data such as your IP address, browser, requested page and request time. Our hosting providers, Sites and Cloudflare, may process this information to deliver and secure the service. The interactive demos are local examples; they do not send what you type to an AI service.
Your cookie choices
Optional tools are off by default. You can accept, reject or choose which categories to allow. Use “Cookie choices” at the bottom of every page to change your mind. Your choice is stored in this browser for 180 days. If browser storage is blocked, your choice applies only to the current page.
- Essential. The local storage entry mj-consent-v1 remembers your choice. It is not used for advertising tracking.
- Google Analytics. With your permission, cookies such as _ga measure page visits, traffic sources and limited actions such as starting a brief or opening an email. We do not send form contents, your name or your email address in these events. Analytics cookies are limited to 180 days.
- Google and Meta advertising. When these tools are connected and you allow this category, they may process visited pages, contact actions, click identifiers and technical browser information to attribute ad results and personalize advertising. Cookies may include _gcl_*, _fbp and _fbc. Their duration is controlled by the provider. Global Privacy Control keeps this category off.
Withdrawing consent stops new optional events and removes the corresponding cookies accessible on this domain. It does not erase data providers have already received. You can also clear this site’s data in your browser.
Providers and retention
Google and Meta may process data in other countries, including the United States. Their policies explain their practices, retention periods and privacy controls. We keep project correspondence as needed to follow up on an inquiry, provide services and meet applicable obligations.
